It’s good to be back, yet again – and what an event!
Thank you all attendees, organizers and volunteers who have made this first day of Scottish Summit a true gem to be a speaker at. As of the headline and my promise during mine and Olav Tvedt‘s session, “The Windows 11 Security Tips And Tricks I Wish I Knew Last Week“.
Disclaimer
Before I hand over the slides, keep in mind that the presentation don’t exist in a vacuum, we don’t endorse giving anyone and everyone local admin rights on their Windows devices- hey, there are scenarios where no devices should be granted anything but “kiosk-mode” with AppLocker under strict supervision.
However, in many cases we see that some VIPs and power users are suffering, and flees to other tools and equipment to do their job. These slides, ideas and tooling are meant as a counterweight – and maybe – a solution to a problem for those we are here to serve: the users.
Special thanks to Mike Danoski and Abhijat Singh for their contributions to this presentation!
The slides have been converted as pdf to aid the repetition and storytelling and can be found here:
As for the demos – I did one of them live (Sandbox) – and the videos are without audio layover.
Feel free to use as you please.
